As you may or may not know, today at around 8pm GMT+1, we suffered massive packet loss, whilst things weren't offline as such, the attack slowed down the network so much that everything was inaccessible.
We can confirm it was an NTP attack, a very nasty type of attack which relies on a huge amount of tiny packets ...

It would appear as thought the issues are related to Steam backend. There is nothing we can do bar wait for Steam to level itself off to deal with the influx after the Gamespy shutdown.
We understand its your frustration, but please be patient and this will all be resolved ...
