How to use KingGen map generator tool and import maps from it

This guide will explain how to use KingGen Map Generator and how to import maps from it

KingGen is a map generator for 7 Days to Die which took over from NitroGen (Discontinued). In this guide we are going to generate a world with the name MyAwesomeWorld. But you can generate with any name you desire.

1. Download KingGen tool - KingGen Map Generator. 
2. Open KingGen and define the Name and settings you'd like to use.
3. After world has generated click the Open KingGen Worlds button and use FTP to upload to server \Data\Worlds\
4. Navigate to Configuration Files and use Config Editor on serverconfig.xml.
5. Scroll to [Map Settings]. Change Game World to Custom, Custom Map Name to your World Name and Game Name to your World Name.
6. Not click Save & Exit and Start the server.
   
   
   

Notice: The first time can take up to 1 hour for the map to be fully generated. Don't stop the server or the map will be corrupted and you'd need to start the generation again. You can follow the progress by clicking the Web Console button. Whilst the world is generating you can ignore the messages [GSM] GameSparks Connected. Once the world is generated the server will say GameServer.LogOn successful. Once it says this the server will be online you can check Activity & Stats button for more information and to see if your server is querying.
